2026.6.17-1027
Released on 2026-06-17
This update focuses on improving overall stability and the visual experience in our mixed reality environments. We have implemented several fixes to make interactions in colocated sessions smoother, to reduce network load and have enhanced the visual quality of 3D models within the metaspace.
Improvements & Features
- Mixed Reality enhancements:
- Introduced ’environment depth occlusion’, allowing virtual objects to blend more naturally with the physical environment. This setting is not publicly available yet as it is still in experimental phase.
- Improved lighting:
- Adjustments in the metaspace provide more natural lighting on the darker sides of 3D models.
- Digital Twin:
- Added command interface to digital twin configuration for controlling OPC UA compatible real machines. For more information on this feature contact Connec2.
- Improved digital twin fidelity and control responsiveness for a more realistic experience.
- Developer insights:
- Expanded developer context logging with more relevant session information to assist with support and troubleshooting.
Performance & Stability
- Smoother experience:
- Resolved hand-tracking stutters by optimizing menu refresh actions and reducing network data usage during colocated sessions.
- Stability:
- Fixed a crash issue when loading 360 images.
- Transparent materials with textures that use alpha channels are now rendered correctly.
- Optimized various backend systems (such as handtracking and CPU/GPU settings) to prevent unnecessary overhead.
