Introduction
Welcome to the introduction section of the Connec2 3D Editor.
Here’s what you can do with the 3D Editor — and what you shouldn’t use it for.

Who is it for?
Connec2 3D Editor is a tool to publish 3D models to your Virtual Workspace.
It’s intended for users with some experience in tools like SketchUp, Revit, SolidWorks, 3ds Max, or Blender.
✅ Use it for
- Tweaking small things that make sense in VR but not in the source model
(e.g., positioning content so it’s comfortably reachable in VR) - Adding Connec2-specific behavior
(e.g., making objects interactive or creating navigation surfaces)
❌ Don’t use it for
- Fixing structural errors in the source material
(e.g., geometry issues, z-fighting, heavy clean-up) - Building complex multi-model scenes that are better authored in your original DCC app
